(Further questionnaire information and construction can be found in the project reports in the research area and in the moodproject 'notes' folder) Questionnaire results on shape and colour for each gender Colour
Again the stereotype shows through with females favouring the colours pink, red and blue while males prefer mainly darker blue. The males also tended to have a greater variance in favourite colour than the females. With these results and other research, the final visual result was constructed with these favourite colours in mind. Shape
Sifting through online articles, reports and old research papers (online example), I asked this question to verify what I had learnt so far; that females preferred round and males preferred lines and angles. The results above confirmed this stereotype, however, much more for males than females. Females tended to like both shapes almost equally, but favoured the round circle shape overall. This lead to the construction of the final visual shape being defined as angular or round depending on the overall highest gender that used moodproject. |
